When we transmit the claim to the Insurance carriers they will receive the claim immediately via the Internet in exactly the same format that they require. With paper claim filing it requires the insurance industry to hire thousands of people to handle this mountain of claims. Stacks and stacks, thousands upon thousands of claims that need to be inputted into the computer and checked for accuracy. Electronic claim filing saves the insurance industry millions of dollars every year in labor costs alone. With modern technology it saves both time and money. The American Medical Association did a study and found that that the average paper claim cost the doctors at least $5 just to process the claim. We charge under 50¢.

How does it work?

It is very simple. All the clients, doctors, medical clinics, hospitals or anyone who files claims needs is access to the Internet and a keyboard. They key into their existing medical software and process the claims as normal. But instead of printing the claims, they e-mail the claims to us. That is it. There is no additional software or hardware required. Our electronic editors send the claims through to the designated carriers and report back if there are any errors. With 13 different reports the client knows the status of all claims daily.

In the past, doctors spent valuable time and money trying to trace paper claims. Many office managers spent hours on the telephone not to mention money for stamps trying to find out what happened to their money. What they found was that 40% of paper claims paid in 45 days. Another 10% paid in 60 days the other 50% did not pay at all due to claim errors. So you can see the electronics processing through NHS solved headaches for doctors as well as their billing teams. What can it do for the client?

Electronic billing will be mandatory within a very short time period. What you see in the marketplace is a mix of use. Practices are using some form of electronic transmissions, some 80% of offices do some electronics. 20% do all electronic.
